The menu here is a delightful journey through culinary creativity, featuring standout dishes that elevate traditional Chinese flavors. For those seeking that perfect balance of heat and depth, the Numbing Beef in Fiery Sauce should be a go-to choice. Hand-cut braised beef drenched in a rich Sichuan chili sauce, served over fluffy white rice, it embodies the essence of bold eating. Meanwhile, the Mongolian Beef, with its hand-cut beef slathered in a house-made sauce, sweet onions, and chilis, speaks to the heart of comfort food.
Start your meal by indulging in their enticing small plates. The Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs, braised and fried to crispy perfection, paired with a sticky five-spice dip, are a must-try. Or opt for the head-on Salt and Pepper Shrimp, tossed with jalapeño and garlic for an aromatic kick. Don’t forget to add the Spicy Pickled Cucumbers to cut through the richness, enhancing your palate with their tangy, refreshing profile.

I highly advise you go now! I was a little skeptical as my sister described her favorite local Chinese dive, but she didn’t come close to this hidden gem. Amazing food, out of this world ambiance/decor, and don’t skip the slushy drinks. Thinking of going back tomorrow. OH YEAH, get the dumplings!!!

Meet a friend for drinks, ended up having an amazing time- the bartender was just... Outstanding. Fun, funny, fast, and friendly. Food, excellent. Drinks, superb.

Everything was amazing! Loved every single dish but specially the coconut shrimp and green beans. Drinks were delicious and interesting. Would definitely recommend it and will come back for sure. Really cool decor and vibe too.

A girlfriend and I went for dinner. It's seat yourself and the place filled up quickly around 6pm so get there early, because seating is limited. Luckily, we got right in! We had the Spicy Shrimp & Pork Dumplings (7/10, wished the sauce was on the side), the Honey Pecan Crispy Fried Prawns (9/10), the Spicy Pickled Cucumbers (10/10) and the General OH Tso Good Fried Chicken (7/10). It's a fun and intimate environment for a night out. The service was good and cocktails were delicious! We split all our food and each had two cocktails and it was 65 each. I would go back!

If you are new visiting this restaurant it is a little puzzle to figure out that you have to walk all the way to the back of the restaurant, take a number, and write down on a board the number of guess in ur party then wait to be called. The food at this place is one of the most tasteful for Chinese restaurants in the area. Recommed “BBQ Duck”. The enviroment is very cozzy but bizarre they play Classic K-Rock music on a asian restaurant, but definetely groovy. Very fast service and food takes less than 5 minutes to be served once ordered.

Living in West Seattle, I happened upon this gem on a whim. I had no idea what to expect seeing a Gold painted stone store front with a Giant New Luck Toy neon over the top. I walked in to see the ceiling covered in Red lanterns and ventured back to the bar and additional seating. Good tunes and a packed venue. The atmosphere is upbeat with a broad range of ages. The food is excellent and the drinks are exceptional. The service is top notch and the team is well oiled in terms of keeping the wait times down. My favorite dishes are the BBQ Pork, Duck Chow Mein and the Honey Pecan Prawns. I have been there probably 20 times the past year and a half. Enjoy.

Excellent gem for Chinese food in West Seattle. I’m so glad that they reopened after the pandemic. The food menu at New Luck Toy is relatively small, but everything is tasty, prices are reasonable, the staff is very friendly, and the drinks are unique. The atmosphere has an old-fashioned style that I love and there is both bar seating and booth seating available.

BLUF: Cozy, intimate Chinese food restaurant with good drinks, even better food and enough oddities around the place to make you feel like you’ve left Seattle and have stumbled into a restaurant in the middle of Asia. Have been meaning to check this place out for a while and it was worth the wait. The drinks list is an immediate hit with plenty of frozen concoctions, bar staples, and mix of standard Asian beers and local crafts. The food was amazing. The shrimp and pork fat dumplings were by far the best. Great filler, but an even better mix of chili oils and fixings on top to supplement the dumplings. The honey pecan shrimp were fried perfectly and loaded with candied pecans and a perfectly sweet sauce. Their version of general Tso’s chicken was really good, but the fried chicken fell flat compared to the other fried food we ordered. Great Asian style chicken wings. Awesome spicy cucumbers to go with the larger plates. Wonderfully garlicky eggplant. Will definitely be back to explore more dishes on the menu.
